Phillips Commercial is family owned and operated.  The Phillips family has been active in commercial real estate since the 1970s.

O.B. Phillips has a lifetime of experience in real estate. O.B. started out in California in 1965. He began as an agent and over the next 42 years O.B. has owned many real estate related companies including a residential brokerage company with 100 plus agents, a commercial brokerage company with over 30 agents, an escrow company, a mortgage company, a construction company and a securities company.  All this while maintaining a professional pilot's career with United Airlines for 37 years; retired in 2000.  He has experience in many areas including development and syndication. Additionally, he earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Designation in 2009.


Currently, O.B. works to mentor several agents in the office, manages the financial operation of five real estate related companies, is an active member in Rotary, and teaches a gentleman's bible school class at his home church. He has been married for over fifty years and is a father of three and a very proud grandfather of five.

Benjamin has been working in commercial real estate since 2002.  A self proclaimed "real estate seminar junkie", he attended every educational opportunity that became available for real estate investing, management, and sales.  After flipping the occasional single family home, Benjamin took on a leadership role in the property management department of Phillips Commercial in 2003.  This department grew from 43 units to just over 1,800 units in 2005, when Benjamin shifted into real estate sales. 

 

Focusing on Buyer representation for apartment investors, Benjamin eventually grew into a leadership role for the brokerage company as he earned his brokerage license in 2008.  In 2009, Benjamin earned the coveted CCIM Designation bestowed by the CCIM Institute.  In 2010, the North Texas CCIM Chapter, the second largest in the world at the time, asked Benjamin to join their leadership board as their 2010 Membership Chairman.  In 2011, while continuing to work with his team of agents, Benjamin began focusing on sourcing private equity for commercial real estate investments and repositioning.  Benjamin is also an accomplished pilot, husband, and father of two.
